Filtered (330g)

During the process of filtration raw honey is filtered to remove most of the pollen and wax pieces by warming up the frames with honeycomb or by placing frames in a heating room with a maximum temperature of 34°C.  This filtering process delays crystallization.  The colour and flavour of our honey will vary from season to season depending on the nectar source (the blossoms) visited by the bees.  We do not harvest honey during the winter season to assist our bees with nutrition for their hive when food is scares.

Ingredients: Raw honey (non-irradiated, unpasteurized, unadulterated, heated to 34°C)

Preservatives:  None

Product of South Africa

Storing requirements:  Raw honey will crystallize over time, which means it will then need to be scooped from the jar.  Store honey in a tightly sealed container, in a cool place, away from direct sunlight.

Strained / Unfiltered (500g)

Raw honey is strained (unfiltered), commonly to remove some remnants of the bees, large pieces of wax and hive debris while still retaining the pollen and other beneficial qualities of honey.  This honey is not warmed for bottling. Natural crystallization will occur earlier than filtered honey.  The colour and flavour of our honey will vary from season to season depending on the nectar source (the blossoms) visited by the bees.  We do not harvest honey during the winter season to assist our bees with nutrition for their hive when food is scares.
